Problem with Motors/ESC beyond 50% throttle

Post by Gazzas_86 »

Guys,

I've conducted a little test to try and find the problem with my copter,
Basically i disconnected all motors from the ESC's, and one by one had them connected, When i got above 50% as you know, my board wobbled left and right (Roll) before crashing, The quad is in X formation,

If i was looking behind the quad, with the arrow of the board pointing away from me (shown in pic), the Left props (front and back) powered up above 50% with no problems,

The right props (Front and Back) has this behaviour when getting above 50% throttle.....

This is regardless whether Aux is on or off

Anyone got any ideas?,

Cheers

Gaz

Looks weird. Did you check the motor output on the GUI? Do you see the same oscillation in the output values?

swap motors and ESCs around to find out if the symptoms follow. I have had this with partially burned ESCs and burned motor windings.

Also, what type of ESC and motors are these? Some ESCs have trouble following the quick throttle changes coming from the flight controller board.
