Thats neat as i use Scherrer - and have just seen the cost of the interface - its like a few of dollars from hobbyking!

essentially yes, you dont even need an rx, as far as this goes, you'll likely still have one for control though... my motivation was that i want to try lrs, but wanted to keep cell voltage data in the osd, now multiwii can behave like a smart port receiver to the sensors and poll them for their readings over serial.
