Multiwii pro w/gps leds flashing
Multiwii pro w/gps leds flashing
Well, this is my first diy quad. I am having trouble getting my board to do anything. When I plug in the board the lights go solid for a few seconds consistent with loading up. Then leds 1 and 2 (red and green) blink very rapidly for as long as its plugged in. I am running multiwii2.3. I have tried 2.1 and 2.0. They all do the same thing. In the gui, the board picks up movement when you tilt the copter but none of the other sensors are working, like the compass or the artificial horizon. All the remote inputs are working. I have the arduino set for the mega 2560. I selected the appropriate esc with the simonk firmware, I'm using the HK Afro 30a, I selected the Mega 2560 v2 board, set minimum throttle at 200 which is default. I selected the gps module. GPs home reset at every arm. Checked the sketch, had no errors, loaded sketch. This is my first time So I'm sure I did something wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, nevermind, I learned that the blinking light signifies that the acc thought the copter was tilted. After re-calibrating the sensor, all functions are appearing in the gui. I also got the escs to spin up in calibration mode. I'm pretty excited, now if I can just get it to arm now that I have the regular sketch loaded back in.

I ran into a problem with arming. You need to make sure you get enough throw from the TX. I had to set mine to 110% at the radio. Otherwise the values don't get high or low enough to arm or disarm. Especially if you add any trim.

Thank you, that actually fixed it. First flight was successful. Now I just have to assign gps functions. Good times. Thanks again.
