So I'm working on my first quad, and decided I'd go for something a bit unconventional for the frame.
I'm making all the parts on a punch press out of sheet metal. The arms are .9mm stainless, and the centre plates 1.5 aluminium.. Has anyone tried a frame like this before?
Check out the attached CAD images, the first is of the assembly and the second one is of an alternate arm design with a full length flange.

Nice! Could you post your cad files? I have a friend that has a plasma cutter table and would like to try and cut one out.

The cad files are SLDPRT files - not sure if you'll be able to view them? They're too big to upload straight to the forum so I'll have to ftp them somewhere when I get a chance.
