Gimbal-Plate Mounted MWC Board - Possible ??

Hi guys

I'm using a small MWC as a stand alone 2-axis gimbal controller (only used as an active stabiliser, not be be 'driven' etc) with 500-2500usec digital servos (non programmable)

does anyone know if it would be possible (or if its already been tried) to mount the board on the gimbal plate itself, and the MWC drives the servos to keep 'itself' level?

I can't imagine it would be that different to a + shpaed quad in terms of output, but rather than driving pitch and roll ECS, it would be driving pitch and roll servos.

anyone have an idea where to star with paying with an idea like this?
