witeskyquad FC mpu 6050 conflict

Post by tovrin »

I picked up one of these $19 FC recently, it comes with a mpu6050. I want to use my GY-86 with this FC, but it has a built in mpu-6050 as well. is there any way to utilize the two electronics without causing an issue? I have contacted the vendor, he is going to 'ask his engineers', but told me to ask here. lol.

I am going to request they build a FC with no IMU for those of us who would like to use such equipment. he did say that they are building a gps/magentometer for this FC, I would request a barometer as well, personally, since I have issues landing (straight down from good height) without one.

BTW, it flies really smoothly, maybe its the default PIDS, im not sure, but I like this FC a lot, its incredibly tiny too. would be great for a ladybird.

I purchased one of them also, I think this ebay item is a better choice for adding the Baro/Mag. If the I2C address is changeable on he GY-86, then I really don't foresee a problem. Worse case, cut the trace for one device.

the price looks good, but i thought the bmp085 was said to be a sub par component and to avoid?

I really don't know because I have no experience with it nor the newer one everyone is raving about.
