Community fragmentation

I serious dough if others will see or understand this however from my observation window, there is a serious fragmentation of the community underway. Yes, this is kinda normal for people to part ways because of differences in opinions but there seems to be a force at work here to divide the work being done on this project. We have a subset of people that are upset over various issues and instead of working within the community to change things, they are sitting in their IRC chat room bashing the people that are trying to contribute to this project good or bad.

Whats the problem?

There are some people who want to habe more than 8 channels.
And they want to have more than high, middle and low for AUX.

The only think that we hear:
- who needs more than 8 channels
- who need more than 3 steps

We don't want it and so we do not accept any work in this direction.

And than you wonder, that we look for a place where we can talk without any flames (I hope thats the right word)

You think I'm wrong?

for the record, Tommy has MANY GREAT Ideas and I am going to build his transmitter but that is not the point. If there are disagreements, then discuss them here within the community and not fragment it bashing others as what is occurring in the IRC chat room that I observed.

IRC is really a great forum, many ideas are discussed while also critiquing other methods with ways we can improve.

Plus, more often than not, it's filled with the objective and optimistic thoughts of timecop (dongs).

I'm another participant of the #multiwii irc channel,..I can tell that a lot of talk about stm32 development is going on,..One of the "milestones" of that discussion was for example the mini stm32 board from abusemark (like stm32 alternative to arduino nano)...A lot of discussion about code is going on, again mostly oriented about stm32, so maybe thats richie's problem that we are not discussing arduinos...But my opinion is that stm32 platform is being "held back" on this forum, so its normal that we discuss that platform more there on that channel...
Of course its not just technical talk on the channel, we gotta have some other fun too, why would we need to be "up-tight"?

It's a IRC channel about the #multiwii flight controller. How is being in there, and not on the forum all the time, a bad thing? As someone who has been in the channel for a while now, and not once seen you join, contribute, or even say a peep, not once... and to have you come on here bashing the IRC for what? Being human beings, having good time while having good conversations about the building multirotors?

How about this.

1.) lighten up a bit
2.) join the irc channel (#multiwii on freenode for anyone interested)
