MWii-Preflight is a setup application for Multiwii-copters wich is written in Visual Basic 6 and compatible from Windows XP to Windows 7 64bit(32bit mode).

•Comprehensive configurator(all config.h settings).
•Integrated tool for configurator, Arduino GUI, Alex GUI, EOS-Bandi GUI.
•Compatible from Multiwii version 1.8 to dev 20120927.
•Direct weblink to relevant software downloads.
•Two config.h configurations possible.
•BMA020 setting fast/new for drift isues or slow/old in case of a nervous copter.
•Greyout function. Earlier versions now wil show unavailable settings with grey label.
•Help functions -> Internetlinks and textboxes (when hovering or clicking labels).
•Dump config.h screen to picture in MWiiPrelude folder (for sharing).
•Scrollbar to position screen if resolution less than 1280*1024 and lettersize 100%.

Quickstart:
•Install Arduino and Multiwii software + Alex and/or Bandi Gui.
•Download and install the MWii-Prelude2 windows package of your windows version.
•Download the latest zipped update and install/replace MWii-Prelude.exe in the installation folder.
•Run MWii-Prelude and push the load config.h button to read in config.h file from the Multiwii-dev folder.

As a by product the program did shrink allot 8-)

However I cannot see how MWC-Prelude could not be useful for beginners, so maybe you can explain why you think that :?:

I like it!.
But...
Use a more clean font.(Boring but more readable.)
Some comments is missing in your config.h

Yes my application only writes defines and values and therefore (and my lazynes) the comments disapear... :mrgreen:

But who cares, thats one of the reasons why i made the program so you never have to look back to config.h...

However a original copy of config.h is automaticaly made when using MWC-Prelude called config.ori if you still want to look inside and reset it.
BTW if you hover over the labels in MWC-Prelude you will notice some nice comments.
MWC-Prelude is updated!

It looks like you don't parse the actual data in config.h
Where do you get the raw data to the file from?

I haven't been able to run the program. It will launch, but I only see the backdrop and two buttons, with no text. A box then pops up saying 'unable to find wiisetup.exe'
I am running Windows 7, and have tried both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
I'm obviously doing something wrong as others have been able to install your program, but I can't!
Any ideas?

just navigate to the install folder. c:\program files\wmcsetup and run the .exe file. If you run the package via the start menu option, just navigate to the same folder. I`m running windows 7 32 bit on my laptop.

@ Patrik. I am unsure what you ask here but the data is read from the screen and put in a #define... string and written to the config.h file (simply said).

@ Andy. I did rename the exe file to MWC-prelude while at first it was wiisetup.exe. With me MWC-Prelude.exe runs fine but maybe if you rename the exe file to Wiisetup.exe it will run correctly. Further more it is suspisious when there is no text, i would think the font i use now is not on your computer wich is Trebuchet MS wich u may install... I hope that helps.
Later on and last after this weekend i will clean up the different install versions of windows to be up to date.
Now i am working on more parameters in a tabbed version...

Oh i notice now, Refractions thank you for helping.

refractions, thanks for the advice. If I run the exe file from the install folder, the program runs, but I only see two buttons - Load config.h and Quit.
Quadraf, I have the Trebuchet MS font installed (at least, I can use it in Word), but still no luck. Rebooted my laptop just in case - still the same.

Andy, if you have an older version you only see the 2 knobs you mention... Are you sure you downloaded the latest update?
Seems you can reed the buttons so the font is okee. push the load config.h button and see if it comes to life!?

Hans, I've re-downloaded to make sure I have the latest version, and updated with the latest exe file. I now see the 2 knobs and also the box with the three web links is now showing. I can also go through the process of loading a config.h file, but the window doesn't change.
I'll try it on a different laptop tomorrow - I may have some corrupt system files on this one.

Final update - I don't know what has changed, but I did another reboot of the laptop and it is now working! No idea why.
One thing I noticed - although we can enable LCDconfig and LCDtelemetry, there is no check box for the type of LCD (unless I'm still missing some buttons)?

MWii-Prelude version 2.0 has arrived.
Extra features:
Comprehensive configurator (now all settings from config.h).
Multi-tabbed for easy acces.
Compatible from Multiwii version 1.8 to newest dev 20120606.
Enhanced web-linking.
Help functions when hovering labels. Basic (Clicking on some labels -> weblink or textbox).
Wil be further enhanced in the near future... :geek:

Because of the extra tab function its better to do a fresh install of the new package for your windows version.
In the future updates when hovering labels you can see at the start of the "tooltip" if there is a textbox (t) or Internet (i) link help fuction when clicking on it.

For clarity reasons i did a litle name changing on the downloadpage.
So if you have trouble installing MWii-Prelude2, take the package version!
(just installed on a other computer without problems).

Some things I found:

- When I change the failsafe throttle to 250 and save the file it stays at 200.
- The same thing with RC options beep.
- The same with Failsafe values.
- LCD_TELEMETRY_AUTO_FREQ I can only set 3 numbers, I like to set it to 1500.
- When I set the servo refresh rate to 300, it changes the value by 50Hz and not by 300Hz where it should be.

Al the above settings checked and work perfect with my Windows7 version.
I am afraid the XP-version for Vista did not go well

Later on i wil check the settings on a XP machine...

I did not know what the upperlimit was so made it 999 , but in a new update it wil be up to 2100 (change made)

Yesterday my Vista pc crashed after 5 years of no problems with it, I'm now on my wife's W7 laptop, but I never use this machine for my use (maybee better :mrgreen:

).

So now I need to test the Prelude on my old XP laptop, this one I only use in the field for setup.

When my pc is back, I'll try another version.

Hoi Kees,

Monday is my free day so i resurrected my old (broken) computer (switching memory banks) and installed... Vista on it. 8-)

Had some problems installing Visual Basic 6 but in the end it worked. Tested MWiiprelude and everything is working.
I 'm in the middle of integrating the newest dev. so i expect there wil be an update around thursday including install package for Vista

I think the XP version is not working like it should, I've got the same result with XP as with Vista.
When i switch on for example RC Options Beep and push save button and load the same configH again its back to off.
Also for the things I earlier said.

My Vista PC is finaly dead :cry:

, to expensive to repair, soon I'm gonna test the W7 version with my new laptop :mrgreen:

Rc options Beep is changed during versions . dev version 20120616 works but newest (just tested) did not. I was un aware :oops:

(The difference is that the developers have trown in a blank line wich means i have to make an exeption rule...)
Now i have a request for the developers to not trow in blank lines before a setting... :roll:

In the next release it will work. The other things mentioned however work (tested on winXP and windows7).
