Goggle Code is Shutting down.

Hello,

Earlier today, Google announced we will be turning down Google Code Project Hosting. The service started in 2006 with the goal of providing a scalable and reliable way of hosting open source projects. Since that time, millions of people have contributed to open source projects hosted on the site.

But a lot has changed since 2006. In the past nine years, many other options for hosting open source projects have popped up, along with vibrant communities of developers. It’s time to recognize that Google Code’s mission to provide open source projects a home has been accomplished by others, such as GitHub and Bitbucket.

We will be shutting down Google Code over the coming months. Starting today, the site will no longer accept new projects, but will remain functionally unchanged until August 2015. After that, project data will be read-only. Early next year, the site will shut down, but project data will be available for download in an archive format.

As the owner of the following projects, you have several options for migrating your data.

The simplest option would be to use the Google Code Exporter, a new tool that will allow you to export your projects directly to GitHub. Alternatively, we have documentation on how to migrate to other services — GitHub, Bitbucket, and SourceForge — manually.

For more information, please see the Google Open Source blog or contact google-code-shutdown@google.com.

Maybe finally MultiWii will have an excuse to move to shithub, and start engaging in proper version control practices... :)

I really did not expect this.
So yes multiwii will move to GitHub.
I never thought I'd write this ;)

I hope they won't suppress gmail / maps / drive on day.

It doesn't surprise me a bit. How many popular services has Google created that they suddenly discontinued?

Have you guys decided when the development will be moved to github? I'd like to contribute and considering waiting till you have migrated.

Please consider other sites besides Shithub, I hate it.
I've always used SourceForge.

Thing is, github is more popular currently and has better chances of attracting professional software developers to the project, especially people who use github software while at work. I'm not sure there is a commercial solution of sourceforge. I've never heard of it being used in software companies. I would probably have not downloaded the code by now if it was not on github. Please, migrate to github, I would like to join development in the familiar environment, that is very easy to work in and takes no time to learn.

Any news on this?
Google code is readonly now. I saw some commits pointing to multiwii.com, but there are still only links to google code.

I know this repo, but the last commit is from Mar 14!
I thought there was an updated source somewhere.

Hi, It's quite long without any update. Is there any update on multiwii new repository? Is multiwii still under development now?
