Thinking about getting a little Hubsan X4 as a fun runaround with my birthday money while I battle with getting my 'proper' quad to work properly. At just under thirty quid it's almost a no brainer if it flies as well as the Amazon reviews say.
It want to fly it outside on calm days and some say its a bit susceptible to wind, which is fair for something so tiny.
This is really the wrong form since the X4 does not use MultiWii code. But to quickly give an answer: I have three of these X4s and they are a lot of fun and good training for larger quads. Without the prop guard (which I only use inside) it does handle wind well. Typically it is the pilot that can't handle the wind since the wind causes a large drift and the pilot must keep corrections applied to compensate. The X4 is plenty fast so can fly against wind easily.
Ok, get one anyway and get the prop guard so you can fly indoors on raining days and at night. One of these is really great during the winter to keep your thumbs tuning for flying.
