HMC5883 Magnetic Interference ( Video )

Post by dezeubby »

I have a custom FC made from arduino 32u4 , mpu6050 and hmc5883 magnetometer . I attached a video in which i'm testing the magnetic interference from cables , i have the props mounted and giving throttle to motors .

What I want from you guys is to tell me if my mag is working corectly .

It looks normal, but, the impact to the magnetometer could be less.

Try to bundle the accu cables as close as possible. Keep them away from the HMC5883 as far as possible.

I don't understand this -> "Try to bundle the accu cables as close as possible."

The accu cables consist of one wire for plus and one wire for minus.
Keep both close to each other.
Do you use a plate or an cable adapter for the power distribution to the motors?
Keep them away from the sensor as far as possible.
