hockeystick quad

Post by phoneguy411 »

my new quad with Paris v3.0 board + original wm+ bma180 acc bmp085 baro @3.3V, HXM2730-1300 24g motors, turnigy 10a esc, 7x3.5 props, 1000mah lipo, 340g without lipo. 35cm motor2motor. I made the frame from composite hockey stick. It is a 40g heavier than pure carbon fiber frame of same size i have. I left the paint on this frame to give it some character! the other frames i made i strip the finish off.
it flies with default pids with multiwii 1.7 except when i engage baro it rolls about 30 degrees. i am going to try flying with MultiWii_dev20110626 code i uploaded onto it tonight.
i changed the props to apc8x3.8sf and it now jumps off the ground at just over 30% throttle!
i have a bluetooth adapter attached and working but my eeprom was scrambled when i tried to update with bluetooth and went out of range.
something happened to eeprom. all the pids values went to random numbers. so i am not using bluetooth now.

it seems no one managed to update firmware over bluetooth, because bt-connection is only initiated at beginning of upload and the instant to manually press reset on arduino is near impossible to meet.

Manipulating settings over BT works with both GUI on computer and LCD. I do it all the time.
