Stabinator V2

Post by Gartenflieger »

New miniature (at least for my skills) piece: The Stabinator V2

Designed for a Multiplex Parkmaster that I wanted to keep as light as possible. Takeoff weight is 435g now including stock landing gear.

Size: 33 x 19 x 9 mm (plus connector pins)
Weight: 12g (roughly, forgot to measure before installation) as compared to 6g of the naked receiver

Hardware: 6ch Spektrum DSM2 receiver, MPU6050, 328P CPU
Software: MultiWii "Servotest" from PatrikE's branch, with GUI based servo subtrim and range setting, thanks Patrik!

I had no chance to fly it yet, but it works like a charm on my bench with the MPU filter set to 10 Hz and (4,4,something) gyro moving average.
Reduced the ACC moving average to 2**4, however to avoid lagging acc data. Preliminary P settings are 2/2/6 as the plane has large control surfaces.

Best regards
Christoph
