My Xcopter

Post by sismeiro »

Hi to all,

Just want to share with you my quadcopter that I decided to build in January. The specs are:

* Flight controller: MWC Crius SE
* Software: MultiWii 2.0 Dev 20120504
* Frame: X525 V3 Fiber Glass (customised)
* Motors: Turnigy 2217 20 Turn 860 Kv
* ESCs: RCTimer 30 A
* Propellers: EPP 10x4.5" or GEMFAN 11x4.7"
* Battery: ZIPPY Flightmax 2800mAh 3S1P 30C

I am waiting for Blutooth Serial adapter and already have LED strip to install and always know where the Xcopter is directed.

You can see a video of the Xcopter flying but the pilot (me) hasn't any experience of this. :)

Hi to all,

Just to update this post with more information. Now I have two more batteries, a Turnigy 9X and a lot of changes to make the Xcopter better.

Very stable maiden flight, Sismeiro! :D You should use something like a flag hanging below the tail, it's easier to know the direction. Dont be too gentle :D, you have a stable quad and very big flying field :D.

vpb, thank you for your words. Lately I have pushed my limits a lot more and sometimes I crash and others I manage to avoid the trees, some of the latest videos show that. :) Lot to learn until I can fly nose in.

Hi, I've just watched you no.61 video. It seems that your RC rate is a little too high? You should use about 0.3-0.5 rate with 30-40% expo.

Hi,

After sometime without giving any news in this thread, many things happened. I have a gimbal and a new SJ4000 camera, also I changed my flight controller board for a MultiWii PRO Ez3.0 Blacked MAG with GPS. My Xcopter setup is working well and I am very happy with it. This is one of the latest and best videos that I made with my setup, you can see that we were having fun:
