Post by Kayle »

Hello,

Awesome work! What are you running for your PID settings?
Are you using any motor tilt?

Hi Bob,

PID Settings are default. Only the D - Term of Pitch and Roll i have reduced to 10. I don´t use any Motor tilt.

Quick question: how did you do those nice VIAs on the pcb? From the look of it, the pcb seems to be home made.

Hi. Yes the pcb is home made. The vias are made witch "durchkontaktiernieten". Sorry, i don't know how to descripe it in english :-)

Ah..very interesting. I didn't know those type of pcb contact rivets were readily available. It does making double sided DIY pcbs a little bit easier; you don't need to solder thin wires through the vias anymore. Do you need any special tool to put the rivets in place?

Did you change the code to work with 1s? sometimes my quad freezes and the only way to fix it is to re-upload the code and use a fresh battery. Usually it happens when the battery is nearing depletion.

I don't change the code. My atmega runs at stable 3,3v during a buck/boost converter.
