From your video, it appears that you are using four of the same motors and props, True?

same props yes but the motors are different :
1400kv front and 1100kv rear

this is a good opportunity for me to try vtail as I just crashed my quad few days ago the frame a busted, I didnt know this kind of thing is posible with multiwii

Just one question thought does the new 1.9 support vtail by default? or some code change is needed for it to work? building is not a problem for me but the software code a bit out of my reach

You can use the Y4 settings for starters and make adjustments along the way.
