Barometer flickering on/off in 1.8 bug?!

Dear All,

I have flushed MultiWiiV1_8 and noticed on the Configuration GUI that when I have barometer enabled, I increase/decrease throttle, BARO is flickering by turning on/off. I've been wondering is it a bug or it is suppose to be since I haven't came across such behavior in previous releases!
I should mention that I use ALLINONE sensor board
-HMC5883 Triple Axis Magnetometer
-BMA180 Triple Axis Accelerometer
-BMP085 Barometric Pressure Sensor
-ITG3200 Triple-Axis Digital-Output Gyro

I haven't got a chance to test it with a different sensor board, so as I mentioned this board works fine and there is no barometer flickering in older releases than 1.8

Best Regards,
Rihards

Do you think it's really a bug ? Baro is a very slow sensor, so the best way is to use it only in stable situation (when you don't use throttle).
I think is normal and it's a good idea from the dev team.
Now I didn't develop the software so I don't know if it's not a bug.

I just receive my BMP085, I'll test it this night

Hi,

It's normal in the current implementation.
As long as the throttle is not moved, the BARO mode (if activated) should be solid ON.
If the throttle is moved (threshold of 20 units), the BARO mode is briefly switched OFF in order to reset the new reference altitude and the reference throttle.
