Hi, Eugene.

Do you wanna help coding this app? I saw you post something about participate in Cocoa projects for MultiWii. I started coding a "personal OS X MultiWii Gui" and I have a lot of code on it. I'm used to code for iOS also, I have some cases in the AppStore. Including code using the keyboard to drive the drone. It's very cool and scared. You can manage the drone using the 'w', 'a', 's', 'd' keys. It should be ported to iOS using accelerometer and gyro APIs. Something I'm starting to work on.

I'm working on my OS X GUI again - I had to stop some months ago due some jobs I got.
If you want to talk about it, let me know. Will be a pleasure

I already have a BLE Mini, I bought it 6 months ago. I just saw your post yesterday, I had no idea about your app. I'll start to test it tonight!

Eugene: I just received BLE Mini from RedBearLab. Has circuit board , pins and a battery holder. No instructions. I want to plug it into my Hobby King Multiwii Pro FC (red). I will need pins on serial 0 and must disconnect PC-USB to use. I have a iPhone 5s and an iPad Air running the iPhone version. Got any photos of how to hook up the wires. Do I need the battery holder? Also I don't see a BT antennae on the board.

I just recently purchased this app and have 2 quads, 1 running MultiWii 2.1 and the other Multiwii 2.3. The problem I have is that it will connect to both and I can adjust PID setting but when I am connected to 2.3 I do not get any control over the check boxes for AUX 1-4. It is fine for MW 2.1.

Any suggestions?

I have used it with the Red Bear BT. Eugene helped me get it going. I uaes it with iPhone 5S and iPad Air. Change PIDs, calibrate, etc. Eugene is working on maps and such but I have moved on to ArduPilot. It is very useful to un-cable you Multi and change PIDs, switches wirelessly.

I can't wait to get the BLE adapter and get this running. Just in the process of completely rebuilding everything with a new frame after a long time of not using the quad.

Any chance of making this app iPad compatible? I know it runs on the iPad as-is but the 2x mag mode looks ugly :p

If you could get the maps stuff working so it reads the GPS and shows it's position live that would be AMAZING.
This is great work and I finally don't have to buy an android tablet/phone just to use my quad and set the PID when flying

ipad 2 is not compatible, you must use ios device with bluetooth 4 module
it is iphone 4s and all older devices
ipad 3 4 air mini
iphone 4s 5 5c 5s

It is not recommended. YOur copter can fall down or you'll see just a twich.

I just got my BLE from redbearlab, did the .bin change.
It connects to the app but says that does not find my multiwii.
I have a tricopter with whitespy multiwii mega pro 2. ver 2.3, connected (verified several times) in serial 0. All serial ports are 115200

you need bluetooth 4 module theoretically you can setup HM-10 module but you need ti programmer and ti workbench software - its not simple

you cant use bluetooth provided by your link it is bluetooth 2.0 (not compatible with ios)

you can use board that you provide by link - the rule is if you can use android with this board - than you can setup it for ios too)

simplest way (but not cheap

) is to use red lab ble mini board

finally i start upgrading bluetooth firmware code and bluetooth logic for application.

in current version request speed is about 6-7 request to multiwii per second - its very very low speed, it was known issue since first release.

after bluetooth code optimization and setup latest firmware!

NOW ITS requests per sec: 32.29451444437544 ! on 57600 baud rate
32 request per second - finally orientation and radio telemetry screens looks as nice and smooth as i think it must look!!!

get ready for update your BLE MINI!,
also new firmware open possibility to change baud rate from ios application, no more 115200 only or reflash just for changing rate

also first version of gps screen is ready - for now only pin tracking for quadcopter place on map - now it will be much more easy to find your copter in field

Hi, I can connect to the BT module but I keep getting told it can't connect to the quad and to check rx/tx.

I have tried the pins both ways round and verified that the module works with another iOS app that lets me send/receive bytes over the serial link.

The quad is set to 115200 on all comm ports in config.h and the module is configured for 115200, I couldn't find any settings in the app to change this either?

Right, I set all the baud rates for 57k and tested the quad worked with the GUI on a normal BT link to the PC, all was fine.
However with the BLE 4.0 module I STILL can't get anything. I keep getting told to check my tx/rx.

I would love to use this app and buy the PRO version, but there is no way I am spending money till it works.

connected my ble mini on uart port
inverted tx/rx

firmware mutiwii_ble_115200.bin on the ble mini

ios app connect to ble mini but say can't find multiwii

verified my serial speed all 4 to 115200

tried to swap tx/rx

reflashed multiwii

can't find what is wrong, have any idea ????

With a little help from eugene, everything is working now

it's very usefull to access all the parameters from my iphone, so easy to try different pid parameters now...

i've just bought the full version and still playing with all the options, nice app

ios app connects to ble mini but say can't find multiwii keeps saying check tx/rx

I am at the same point. App keeps saying to check tx/rx. I've switched it and no change. all of my serial ports are set to 115200

there can be problems with HM-10 module or hm-11, but not with BLE mini,

the setup is as with your regular bluetooth 2.0.

Just received my RedBearLab BLE Mini and installed the BLE_Mini_multiwii.bin per the instructions. Green LED on the BLE Mini lights up when powered on. However, my iPhone 5 (iOS 8.1) does not find any Bluetooth devices. Any ideas on what's wrong?

so i think the answer is YES it works with CC2541, but there is some firmware modifications(that possible can not work) thats why i provide firmware for BLE-mini(wich In addition, we provide you with access to all Ti's CC2540 I/O pins and the ability to upload firmware via USB)

and recommend to use ble-mini because it is much more flexible solution and upgradable.

so ble-mini works on cc2540
and hm-10 works on cc2511

if you need i can try to provide *.hex file firmware for flashing cc2541 or cc2540 with ti programmer flash tool

as i know naze32 and multiwii use the same protocol so it must work ... but...

i really don't know but i have Review from guy that was trying to make it work with Naze32

he says that "it works but crashes all time"

so if you want to try make it work please contact me, i think it is not hard to support naze32 but i dont have naze32 for testing thats why i cann't be sure

i think i will buy naze32 board some time in future but with your support i can do this much quicker. Waiting for your help and support.

I have a little headache with this mater, I have been unable to connect the bluetooth bought at tinyosshop to the app or iphone yet, with my naze32 board connected.

If I dont need to touch anythin on the bluetooth module, how do I change the baudrate in case it is needed?

My iphone does not see the module, but with the program provided (at the shop web site) is possible to connect it to the iphone, but nothing else.

Please help me!! As I found this app extremely interesting for iphone users.

this is manual for this module
you can find there how to change baud rate with AT commands there
(you need usb to ttl module and terminal (i use coolterm on mac os))
2)
be sure your baud rate is equal to your multiwii baud rate
3)
use connection screen in application (not in your iphone global settings)
4)
select hm-10 option at the bottom of screen before you tap to connect
5)
also be sure that your module works on 5volt logic - not 3.3

I purchased a RedBearLab BLE Mini from Makershed and I have tried to install the BLE_Mini_multiwii.bin per the instructions. When I hold down the button and plug in the USB I see the virtual drive. As soon as I highlight the
*.bin file, the window disappears and the pc says usb not recognized, no way to delete the file. The App sees
the Mini and names it as Bisquit. I am not sure what baud rate it is at. The App says 96oo, but that may not be correct.
I am using Windows XP Pro and Multiwii 2.3 which I have flying just fine.
I hope someone can suggest a solution.
