OK, this might have been my fault by using auto connect, instead of selecting baseflight.
I now have ACC in the PIDs, and even trim is back.

Can someone confirm this before I trek on out.

Automatic protocol selection works only for multiwii. For baseflight anc cleanflight you have to select it manually

Love the app! I think I purchased the unlocker about 30 minutes after installing it!

One small issue I have is that I cannot seem to get connected with Cleanflight by manually selecting it. I get time out errors once it connects. However if I use 2.3 everything seems to work ok.

Any ideas? I'm running the latest cleanflight (12.02.2014).

Thanks,
Jared

Btw this is quite strange as when baseflight protocol is selected
as for now the 2.3 is used plus CLI and Trims are enables.
So there should be no difference between 2.3 and baseflight protocol.

Well everything seems to be working ok now. I'm not entirely sure what happened. I connected to my PC via the bluetooth and then disconnected the PC. Then connected with the tablet selecting "CleanFlight" and it connected just fine. Maybe something with the autobauding on my bluetooth controller wasn't playing nice. Not entirely sure but everything looks to be up and running. This was at least the 5th time I attempted to connect with CleanFlight.

Thanks,
Jared

Actually it seems that each time I power cycle the quad I have to connect with my PC first. I'm guessing this is something to do with my bluetooth module. I'll pickup a couple of "dumber" ones where to baud has to manually be set and see if this resolves the issue.

Thanks,
Jared

Do you have EZ-Link modules? Automatic baud rate setting is not supported by android.

I'm presently playing around with my new CRIUS AIO Pro V2.1 board.

Frimware: pre 2.4 release: MultiWii_dev_2014_12_01__r1729
Software: MultiWii EZ-GUI 3.116.174
Samsung Galaxy S2

Issues:
- When in Mission Planner -> Options the software hangs when trying to "Download Mission" from the board. "Upload Mission" seems to upload. I'm not getting an error here.

- Text is under the check field (square). I think it should be placed in front of the text.

Hi ezio,
I have a bluetooth issue here with a JY-MCU (slave only) on Android 4.1.2 mobile phone, NAZE32 and cleanflight.

Everything is fine, if I disconnect the device before closing the app - or the auto-bluetooth-disconnecting-on-app-close is disabled.
If auto-bluetooth-disconnecting-on-app-close is enabled and I forget once to disconnect before closing, the app is hanging/lagging the next time.
It takes several seconds to get data, takes 5 seconds between connecting and connected voice messages; or very late reactions after connection.
Disconnecting - reconnecting, restarting app doesn't help...
The only way to get to normal operation is to restart the mobile phone.

I'm aware of this. For now exit the app by double tapping on BACK button to avoid problems.

1. log your flight with EZ-GUI (logging starts automatically after arming the motors if automatic logging is enabled)
2. fly
3. convert the log to KML first person view in EZ-GUI logs converter
4. transfer and open the file on pc in Google Earth.

With the Bluetooth it is impossible. You have to use ie. 3DR radio to cover larger distances.

bump on my request to add an 'auto-connect' option for the BT, so that it will cycle through the list of configured BT adapters and try to connect to whichever is available. It doesn't seem like it would be a very complicated feature to add. Please consider, thanks...

cycle through the list of devices is not perfect solution because it takes time and you probably don't want to wait 30 sec for a connection. I have few ideas. more time is needed.

@Ezio do you know, why there is no heading logged...Yes there is but heading...is the direction of movement,

So if you fly sideways...heading turns by 90 degrees, but your quad hasn't turned 90 degrees.
Would be useful information to log. (ie. Video overlay, Earth FPV.

maybe the future of FPV flying is flying in with help of google earth, as a backup for 5.8G video.

Re: MultiWii EZ-GUI, log file analysis

I like to show an example of a EZ-GUI log file analysis, in this case the consumed power.

For more details have a look at:
http://www.rudiswiki.de/wiki9/Quadrocop ... EZ-GUI_Log

I wanted to know, how much power does the copter need to fly stable in place. Therefore I added a 30 A current sensor module.

Unfortunately in older versions of EZ-GUI the parameter EANA:amperage was not correct, always about 30000. Now with version 3.118 (2014-12-10) the value is ok. It may also has to do with the version of MultiWii, which is pre 2.4 r1729.

EANA:amperage (blue curve) - shows an average of about 14.8 A, so about 3.7 A per motor. The voltage was about 10.5 V. Hence, the average power was 155 W. That matches with a maximum flight time of about 10 minutes (battery capacity: 3000 mAh).

GPAR:VBat (red curve) - Battery voltage in volt.

EALT:alt (violet curve) - Height in meter. In the 35 seconds flight time the barometer height reference changed by 0.4 meter. That may be a temperature effect from 21 °C room temperature to 8 °C outside.

I think, with this method it should be possible to check the efficiency of the propellers.

Regards, Rudolf

Heading is logged and it is based on magnetometer.

I would love to see some possibility to direct and realtime control over google earth in Android. Right now there is no API available :(

true,

I Posted it wrong...
GPS Direction is Heading in Google Earth.

Logged Heading is the one that should be mixed with the GPS track.

So that you could go side ways and backwards.
Pretty weird it isn't possible yet

I'm using the current version (3.118.179) on a Galaxy S4 (4.4.2). I can connect to a board flashed with cleanflight via bluetooth and get all the right values. The only thing is, if I select "Dashboard 2" (the one with the nav ball) I get one initial image with values (actually all zero except altitude, which comes from the baro, because I currently have no GPS connected and I didn't use EZ-GUI in flight till now). After that the program locks up my phone. It will still autorotate the screen (but the content won't scale to the different size anymore). Home, back and menu buttons do nothing, lock screen will go to a black screen. A few seconds after that the phone reboots.

Well, that did the trick. Thanks.

I would be a good idea to change the text in the conf file to:

That would make it easier to check them out.

I have found another error in the app.
Every time I upload PID settings I get "Settings have been read." which always gets me off-guard!
It should read "Settings have been written."

Alternatively you could state: "Settings download complete." and "Settings upload complete." or "Settings downloaded." and "Settings uploaded.", just an idea.

has anyone opened up a bug/issue report regarding the 'back button' behavior in android? It seems that clicking 'back' to exit from a screen (or the app) isn't consistent. clicking back to move between screens doesn't always work as expected, and switching between other app's and EZ-GUI (say, by clicking on the EZ-GUI application launcher shortcut icon) can sometimes drive the app crazy when it's time to exit&close (it will load multiple instances in the background which require the user to exit each individually).

Sometimes, even when I try to exit the app, there will be a 'hung instance' in the background; i.e., after exiting, there's still a status message in the android notification area that I can click on which will reopen the app.

Basically, it seems like this app needs to be adjusted so that it only allows a single instance so that moving between screens doesn't get all messed up.

this means that your data connection doesn't work any more.
In example you are out of range of your telemetry system.
