I have noticed same thing a while back (last summer) in first CP heli FBL development version from viewtopic.php?f=7&t=611&start=10#p3472
And also in one of newer dev. versions but can't remember how I encounter it.

With the throttle at Max, the Roll and Nick (Pitch) stick is used to trim the quad for stable mode. The LED is flashing to acknowledge the trim inputs you are applying.
This will not happen when the motors are armed.
The normal method for trimming the quad is to fly in acro mode and trim for stable hover using transmitter trims, then switch on stable mode, note which direction the quad drifts then land, disarm motors, full throttle then using roll and pitch stick to add trim to those directions that are opposite to the way the quad drifted.
