Hi Roman and EOSBandi,

the same issue here, but I'm using xbee modules. I'm sure sometimes xbee loses some bytes in a packet, and Wingui quits with error message. I think too that once connection is established with the winGUI, it should ignore these broken packages and ask for next one. So error messages should applied only if connection can't establish or no valid data arrives from the beginning.

Hi Eosbandi,
i cant seem to get your GUI to work with the newest 2.0 dev of April 14.
I get an error that there is no valid answer from the FC.

Can anybody out there confirm this ?

Regards

Joachim

Hi All !
Finally I'm back... it took much more longer than I expected, but now I can steal some time for WinGUI and I2CGPS. I'll update the I2CGPS code first (in the upcoming couple of days), then will implement the new MWC serial protocol, which is quite impressive.) Stay tuned....

Yeah, wie need u EOSBandi. ;)

Because your GUI is working on the switches, that are for the AUX channels are. In the Standard MWii GUI i cant switch GPS (and all others) in, because i cant "tell" this little box to be there. Whatever i do, it isnt present. I can do it many times, this white boxes disappears every time...:/

In your GUI i can do this things very easy - and its work.

Hello EOSBandi,

Could you please update if you have any plans to support new protocol in your wingui app? It is really nice piece of software btw, thank you for your work.

Great job, EOSBandi.

It appears that MWGUIControls\throttle_expo_control.cs is missing from the repo in svn29? I know you just committed new files, any chance you missed this one?

thanks,
Rick H.

Hello Andras
I have an idea to a function in your excellent gui, how about an Magnetic declination calculator in the settings tab ?
And eventual an option in the future to save that value to the copter with serial protocol ?
I also would love to have an option to use text to talk in gui just to inform me about bat level and other settings.

Thanks Andras for your good work with both gps and wingui !!

may I give some suggestions?

afaik... it is possible to output frsky telemetry sensor data to pc thru ftdi. for FPVers, (i dont know how many people like me using laptop as display) it will be pretty useful if i can get all info from one screen.
I feel the realtime data page can be modded to be a ground station interface.

We got gps data, heading, alt, control panel, sensor status, motor status, radio status. the cruise speed can be calculated based on gps data. (they can be downlinked thru xbee or similar radio)
fpv video/audio comes from video rx input (purely just video and audio)
sensor data can be import from radio thru ftdi, showing: current, power, temp, battery voltage(each cell), motor rpm(over lay with current one?)

the only problem i found will be... 3 set of different radio.. and wire from tx to pc will be annoying.. i'm looking for a way to output sensors' data to either FC or xbee. so control tx can move around freely( or maybe even awesome.. everything go for xbee?)

best

J

Hi All satisfied users,
Has any one experienced problems with MultiWiiWinGUI 2.1 and MultiWii 2.1 _shared r1076 ? or am I the first ?
The following symptoms seem to exist when I run the combination of the above on a CRIUS Pro AIN V1:
In the "Real time data display tag" BEEPER, LEDMAX, LANDLIGHT and HEADADJ all shown selected in various combinations across Aux 1 to Aux 4 and cannot be deselected. The box can be cleared but when an attempt is made to down load then the box reinstates its self.
Arming the Hex via Yaw lights the Camtrig box in "The real time data display". The Hex does in fact arm it seems that the only thing wrong is the display.
All the above symptoms do not occur when I down load version MultiWii 2.1. As yet I have not tried to fly with this combination but as I am only interested in one r1076 benefit I will resist the urge to try until I get some answers.

Regards

John

yes,
same here......

The newest dev versions don't work correctly with MultiWiiWinGui.
Using the ordinary MultiWiiconf works fine.

This is due to Alex changes in r1057 : - only the needed BOX ITEMS are used and sent to the GUI

Hi Mis,
Not sure I understand what you mean by only needed BOX ITEMS what defines the need? Does this also apply to the problem with display of arming ? :?

Hi Eosbandi,
Just now I downloaded the last WinGui 2.1 but it don't run I have only a generic windows error message "Error in MultiwiiwinGUI".
The previous version of wingui is working correctly.
Of course I try to dowload and reinstall it again and again, but same error.
My system is Windows XP service pack 2 it is correct ?
Any suggestion ?

Thanks a lot, Carlo

Hello EOSBandi,

I'm successfully using Multiwii WinGui for debugging my homemade autopilot.
May I make a request to display the instruments beside the video capture window ?
Even better would be overlaying the attitude informations on the video as with an HUD.
Besides testing, this would be useful during FPV flights when visibility is scarce
or video link with OSD data is disturbed.
Having some hints on aircraft attitude and heading to home could save the plane.
What do you think ?

Thank you and regards

Can you use WinGUI with MW 2.2 r1311?

MultiWii Conf does not like my Laptop. Tried new Java, .Net, serial, no luck.

Answered my own question, bad idea. I would have thought since the values were the same variables between Versions. Tri went wacko . Back to using the OLED to set PID's.

Terrific! Currently reviewing your changes, will commit them to the main repo and release an interim version which will support latest MultiWii dev :D
