Multiwii EZ-GUI

Post by Jimbo385 »

Went out today to test n tune Baro and GPS. Made various changes to Altitude and all appears fine. I made sure that the figures I entered were written to the board by hitting read.

This was fine for all changes I made except POS!

For whatever reason, every figure u entered wrote a completely different/random number to the board!

I am running version 3.71.127 of the app and Multiwii v2.3.

I have set the app to protocol 2.3

Cheers.
Is this a known issue?

Not able to confirm exactly but from memory, it's P.

If I enter a number greater than the maximum allowed, I would expect it to only write the maximum but it doesn't!

I will check it again later.

Ok,

I've had a look at this and I understand that for Pos Hold the maximum is 2.5. However the app states that the min = 0 and the max = 5.

Also, the app allows an entry between 0 and 2.55.

If you enter over 2.56, then when you re-read from the board the figure written is any number between 0 and Bout 1.44.

I have not tried any other PIDs so it might well be worth testing these as well.

It would be handy if the app knew that this value is in error and display an error message.

Now because I'm not sure what is written to the board, I always do one change at a time and read straight after.
Need to have confidence in what's written to the board!

It's a great app but needs these finer points ironed out.

Cheers

the possibility of placing a value beyond Min and Max will be removed in the next version.

Thanks for good catch.

Could you explain me why you try the values 2.56 if you know that max value is 2.55 ? I was thinking about it why people do things like this....
