I have noticed the following behavior in version 2.3.
FCB is a HK MultiWii 328P in a QuadX config.
I have setup my Radio and the Board with the following values and it works great.
MinThrottle 1000
MaxThrottle 2000
MidRC 1500
MinCommand 900
Using an oscilloscope I calibrated my Transmitter to exactly these values and synced with the ESC for 1000 to 2000 for the throttle endpoints.
Everything is good at this point, no issues.
Next I attempt to use the DynBalance feature.
I clear the eeprom with the clear eeprom script using 1024 as the count for the 328P
I enable DynBalance.
What I expect to see is that after I upload this firmware to the FCB, I expect to see a motors tab with M1 to M4 on it. I expect that when I select M1, or M2, etc, and use the throttle bar that I can spin up each motor individually. Many of the comments in the thread mentioned in the change.txt refer to the need to set RCSERIAL, or turn it on in the GUI. I cannot find this anywhere. I also see in the change.txt that maybe this has been removed.
In short, when I enable one of the motors, say M1, nothing happens. The throttles all read 900 and nothing seems to start up. So I am baffled.
Here is the safety issue:
I was looking through the tabs in the GUI and after a couple minutes all of the motors just turned on. The throttle indicators showed the left two motors at 2000 and the right two at 1000. I had to unplug the battery to get it to turn off. I even tried toggling the M# buttons to turn the motors off but to no avail. The throttle set slider in the GUI had no effect either.
I repeated this a second time.. and received the same behavior.
Is anyone else able to replicate this?
Version 2.3 DynBalance (Saftey Bug)
Re: Version 2.3 DynBalance (Saftey Bug)
I am having the same problem.
Set up for X quad.
Enable Dynamic balance and get the motor control tab in the control panel.
Clicking the motors doesn't seem to control them.
Then they two just seem to spin up randomly.
I've reset eeprom and tried it on more than one controller. Same issues.
Anyone know what is going on?
32 bit interface on 64 bit win 7.
Can't get the 64 bit one to work.
Cheers,
Carl
