6 position switch

Post by debay777 »

I'm running a whitespy multiwii pro3 controlled by a turnigy 9xr(opentx installed) . I want to use my 3 position switch as a 6 position. Is there a way to force multiwii to see 6 positions from one switch.

Search for "extended aux states". However, a 3 position switch can't physically have more than those 3, so you'll have to replace it.

You can use the switch + another to toggle "banks"

1-pos sw: 0
3-pos sw: 1, 2 ,3
1-pos sw: 1
3-pos sw: 4, 5, 6

But as you say. Not possible to use just one 3 pos switch as 6 pos.

Through opentx I can use a second 2 pos switch to obtain 6 distinct throw values. However it broadcasts over channel 5 so mulitwii sees all 6 positions under the channel 5 slot. If I could separate 3 to channel 6 that would be nice.

Check out this link. Easy to modify ranges for MW https://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/wiki/Sixmodes. There are also some excellent PPM encoders using pushbuttons & a 328P that can connect to trainer port or internally. Just Google on RC Groups & DIY Drones
