It's just a weird idea I want to discuss here:
Would it be possible to fly a copter in space, with photon-emitters (i.e. powerLEDs ) as motors?
Would a MPU6050 sensor work in zero gravity?
Forget Mag, GPS and Baro out there

Yes, but without gravity acro only. The PID controller would prbably need a rescale, gyros should work since there is some mass moved on the chip.
