OK, so I got a new Blade 350qx and it was DOA. Im waiting for my new FC and Im looking at this thing and wondering what the chances are that I could mount my multi wii stuff in there and have it work. The only real question in my mind right now is whether or not I can use the escs? I have seen some stuff on HH site that says they are "special" somehow, but how special could they be? Theres an interface cable that looks like a three wire servo connection just like a regular esc, just a funky plug......
Anybody else have any idea what makes these escs "special"?
Itchy, so if Im crazy, tell me now, otherwise Im going in........
Blade 350qx as a "donor" frame......

Re: Blade 350qx as a "donor" frame......
if possible, check the voltage output from the original fc board going to the ESCs. Should be 5V.
Also, if you have a pwm meter, check the refresh rate. Should be between 50Hz and 500Hz. If it is too far below 500Hz, chances are those special ESCs will not handle the MWii motor output signals which are 490Hz. I have a very old TriBelle copter where the original brushed-ESCs can only handle 50Hz and I had to modify the MWii code to provide something close.
But then if it is a donor you may just try and hook it up for a test.
