Baro mode = bury Mode (in the ground mode..lol)

I have a Quadrino with baro and mag. (HMC5883 Mag and BMP085 Baro)
The Acro mode works great, & the level mode works well.
BUT: When I active the Level hold my Quad accelerates up about 20-30 ft and then heads
toward the ground very fast. I, of course, switch back to acro and gain control.
My Quad is 550mm frame with, 100gr motors. Total weight with the camera is about 1.3 KG.
I started out with 1.7, then 1.8, and now the dev. The dev seems to have really good acro and level,
but baro hold has been about the same in each.
Any ideas? Changing defaults of the PIDs?

As far as i know the Alt hold is a known issue that will be corrected.
Do you have your Baro in a Box?
I am asking because it seems that my baro works a bit smoother, since i boxed my whole board in a plastic box. (of course it got holes to enable airflow)
Thats my subjective oppinion, but you could give it a try, if its not already done.

So i guess you got it boxed.
My quad drops around 2 meters of height before recovering. (20 or 30 ft are really hardcore drops)
If i remember right this is not based on the sensor. It has something to do with the sensor readings and usage in the firmware.
...i don´t know exactly how these things are calculated...
But we can see in GUI that barodata does big jumps up and down even if you won´t move the copter.
There is a threat about that problem. I ll have a look if i find it.

Thanks guys! I didn't see the manual, didn't come with my pre-built Quadrino (Witespy). I don't have it completely boxed, but have
a plastic dome over it. I had read somewhere (here?) that the sensor was sensitive to light so I put a small piece of open cell foam over it.
Zero wind this morning so I going to try again, with a thinner piece of foam. We will see, it's a work in progress. The Quad does fly my Sony
HDR-CX500v without a problem, the motor and ESC barely get warm, so i don't think it has anything to do with lack of power to compensate.
I'll have to look for a "box" that fits, and retrofit. I saw one guy had a kind of tupperware thing with tabs that locked in, guess I'll have to check out
the Grocery store, with my micrometer...lol
