HELP! Error code

I keep getting this error code avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00 when I try to upload my sketch to the 328p. I can successfully connect to the GUI on the same COM port but it doesn't seem to work uploading the sketch. What gives?

Did you select the correct board type in Arduino?

Did you close the GUI before opening Arduino?
Google this error as it is common and has many causes.

The wrong board was selected. Strange, I never went in a changed it, not sure how that happened. Thanks for the help!
