What are the pros and cons of flying with the Compass/MAG enabled full-time?

in strong rf fields the mag sensor gets overlaoded and the copter may spin uncontrollably unless either leaves field or mag is switched off.
I can repeat that experience in some long range rf beam of airport equipment.

Point and a very valid point at that. I can see this happening with any strong magnetic field.
