Falls out of the air?

Post by sixshooterstang »

multiwii pro FC
HW 25a escs (bluesky rc)
suppo 2212-10 motors
flysky CT6b radio
tricopter configeration

While flying one, two (or is it all of them?) cuts out for a very short time (no more than 1 second) and then suddenly comes back on but by then the gyros cannot regain stabilization and it flutters into the grass. In config.h i do not have motor_stop defined and failsafe is also off. The FC does not reboot or anything nor does the ESCs reboot. I have max throttle at 2000 and min at 1150 but after calibrating the escs (twice now) that it wouldnt be an issue. Thanks in advance!

Maybe I have the same problem. sometimes the FC comes on again and sometimes the FC goes down completly and the ESCs begin to beep. Sometimes there are spikes in the sensorvalues every few seconds.
If I uploaded the sketch new, the copter is first fine and and crashes after roundabout 3 minutes. If I start again, it crashes faster...

Hardware:
FC MultiWii SE 2.0
ESC 30A
Emax CF2822 Motors
Carson TX and RX
Hexacopter Y6 configuration

I use the MultiWii Version 2.2 Software. Which one do you have?
I use a PPM Sum RX Receiver. Do You have PPM Sum?

Had alike/same problems last year on late dev versions (pre 2.1) and Crius AIO Pro, when powered from ESC's!
Later I switched to external BEC and since than it is O.K.

If one stops it is probably due to bullet connectors and vibrations. If all fail, it probably is a power failure, then a bec may help.

I have solved it. If your min throttle is too low and the motors are not spinning on arming then the motors sometimes hit zero on the escs due to the gyros and since they are not spinning torque and all thrust on that end is lost and so the copter twists a little and dives on that end. Once it dives the gyros attempt to restabilize causing the sudden return of thrust and the oscillating.
So in short I made min throttle the point where all motors spin slowly and that fixed it.
