Help a MultiWii n00b?

Post by phoxache »

Hi fellas,

I'm new to multicopters although I've built lots of planes and helis.

My setup is as follows:

Sk450 frame
Turnigy 1100kv motors
9x4.5 props
Plush 30a ESCs
Mega Pirate AIO (also tried a MultiWii Lite from HobbyKing)
3s 2200mah 25c Lipo (also tried 30-45c as well as 4s)

Here's what it does:

It did the same with the other FC board, which surprised me. I've rewired everything, built a completely new breakout cable, balanced the motors (I now have 8 of them to try to make a perfect set), set the ESCs using a programming board, calibrated and recalibrated the ESCs... I'm out of ideas.

It could be vibration carrying over to the board. It seemed a bit better when I took the board off and stuck it to the dining room floor.... But it really isn't vibrating that badly.

The motor readouts in the GUi fluctuate so it is telling the motors to do it...

Please help!!

Try to set LPF filter to 42.
Mpu6050 is really sensitive for vibrations.

Arducopter uses 42hz LPF as default..
