Original WMP+

Post by speto_sk »

A boought original WMP+ from Amazon.de. This WMP+ is with IDG600 chip. I found datasheet on internet from IDG600. There are informations, that IDG600 is 2-axis (X and Y) gyro:

Clone WMP+ used IDG3205, but this chip is 3-axis gyro.

I have one questions. When I use original WMP+, evrything is OK. My X copter flying perfect. But I used clone WMP+ with IDG3205, X copter is very terrible. I can't flying because copter is very sensitively.

May be 3-axis gyro as WMP is problem, Know software used 3-axis gyro for WMP, not for IDG3200 or other gyro ? I don't know. :?:

As far as I'm aware, the original wiim+ controller actually have 2 gyro chips. One is a 2 axis and the other is single axis. You need 3 axis to control a multicopter.

The ITG3205 is a good gyro, but you have to do some work to get it to work properly. There is a whole other thread about the ITG3205 and how you have to connect it in order to get it to work.

Sorry "lovegrove", you're right, your information is correct. I found info about HW original WMP+.

The Wii Motion Plus contains two gyro sensors: A dual-axis gyro by InvenSense, the IDG-600(pitch and roll), and a single-axis gyro by EPSON TOYOCOM labelled X3500W (yaw).

I was wrong.
