Which F.C. board to start with

Post by hosstek »

Hi guys im new to the quad realm and im building my first quad using a x525 v3 frame. I was thinking of the quadrino board, but after reading more it seems more people are using the KK board V5.5. Ive been into rc planes for years, but since we moved theres no close flying areas and quad flying is perfect for me. which flight control board would be a good all around unit?
Thanks in advance.

All depends what you want.

Many people have AVR board and IMU board. Some have All in one board.
Some have AVR and Wii Motion Plus, others add the nunchuk.

For a first time easy build I would recommend an all in one.

I would not get the basic KK that has no acc or baro. Later on you will need to upgrade.

I just bought the Crius All In One Pro 1.0 board, its great. Has everything and isnt too expensive.

That or the multiwii SE boards.

Thanks, I agree i dont want something ill have to upgrade later on. I did like the specs on the crius all in one and it sounds like a winner to me

Crius SE v. 1.0

Small, Easy to mount and configure, i2C Pins for adding i2c GPS later if wanted. IMO, only thing keeping it from beeing a complete winner is a better Baro.
