Revised multiwii board

Post by ashta »

hello,
i am from bangalore. i designed a multiwii board after reading and getting all info from this group about a year back. It was promini based atmel 328. I made 15 boards and sold all ofthem at cost price to fellow modellers.
Now i want to revice this board with a new atmel processor. I request this forum to suggest me the Atmel processor that i should use in the revised design.
attached pl find the Picture of the board

Atmega 2560?

There are quite a few all-in-one boards already though.

There are indeed,

If you are going to design a board, why not put a heavy current power track in for powering ESCs too, to remove the need for messy wiring or power boards?
You could have a 5V input header as well as a 12v (from the battery) header, allowing for people to put whatever Vreg they wanted between them. Or you could put a step-down reg onboard.

As long as you make sure the headers are all well organised and break out all the needed pins it should be good.

thanks Pyrofer, sorry for the late reply
Its a good idea to accomadate a power distribution, but then.
On the same board, then it will ghave to be 4 layers, with 35mm copper for the power lines.
Then it will be expensive.
Another possibility is to have a Power distribution board separate, with even regulators.
I am in the thinking and exploring phase now.

bst regards
