[PROMINI] - anyone can save my ProMini board please ?

Hi all,

I had a bad experience with one of my promini board (wrong power voltage applied to it ) and as a result I have fried the SMD capacitor C19 just before the voltage regulator (RAW pin).

The reference of the component is "106", so it's a polarised unit (rated at max 25V as we should face max 16V in the RAW pin).

I don't want to buy 100 units for its replacement (on Digikey or Mouser), so does anybody can help me and send me one or two units, I'll be happy to pay the unit and the postage fee in order to have my board working back again

Hi,

you can just power it by +5V to the VCC pin (e.g. connect the 5V-BEC of ONE! ESC). If this doesn´t work the Mega itself is fried.

Yes, I know but that was just for being "mind free" as I want things done correctly

The mega isn't fried because it's working perfectly under 5V through VCC

That´s fine, I don´t have an elco of this size but iirc I shoud have a few ceramic multilayer 10µF X5R C´s in smd1210 which shoud fit (not polarized, lower esr). Not sure about the voltage level atm, but at least 16V. Shoud be fine up to 3S, as you want things to be done correctly I guess you aren´t feeding 5V to raw .
