does anybody use the ardupilot hardware for mwc code? is it possible?
if so, what changes have to be done?

concerning the hard wiring.
Besides ardupirate code MW Code 2.0 is running without any problems (including GPS) too.
Of course you have to adapt the #defines in the sources.
In my case allinoneboard and the correct i2c addr for the acc 0x82 and the serial speed for the gps.

are there any other threads about this? i have an ardupilot and some fancy shield that i want to use if it turns out my wmp is dead

and what about ardupilot legacy board, 328 with mux shoud be a good plateform for mwii "airplane" code. The "passthrough" mode could be handled by the muxer, failsafe already working and "hard wiring" rc control from rx in case of malfunction
