Throttle cuts out momentarily - Multiwii Pro

I am running a Multiwii pro on a tricopter. I will arm the copter in acro (no auto level, baro, etc), bring it up, it flies nicely for about 15seconds-1minute and then all throttle cuts out for about 1 second then comes back on but by then the copter is impossible to recover. I am running a BEC at 5v. it shows no I2c error. Tried re-flashing with no luck. Tried putting it both in arming mode and unarmed mode (means it just wont throttle up from zero input). Every single time it does the same thing. For my config.h I have max throttle defined as 2000. I have the board defined as #define FFIMUv2. Possibly a failsafe malfuntion? I got plenty range when I was running a KK2 board.

Did you calibrated ESC's and set stick from 1005 to 2000?

yes first thing i did after installing. This is at 60%-75% stick that this happens
