They are so very cheap, 4 modules for 6.6 USD :O also found another latest version
http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/fastrax-itra ... 505wt_1633

Both modules seem to have more features then standard GPS receivers and at 1/4 of the price, they have two UART outputs, spi interface, programmable controller etc

You will have to add a suitable GPS antenna (active or passive) to those modules.
RF matching of the antenna to a suitable co-axial cable then to the board / module is not a simple task, and, if not done correctly, could reduce performance significantly.

The NAVIGATRON V2 (I2C) and the DiyDrones MTK3329 (Serial) have suitably integrated "patch" antennas, providing optimum performance.

It's a six years old module, sensitivity is quite low, -151db versus the PA6B module's -165db. And there is no antenna (so add +15-20 usd for a good active antenna with SMA connector)
Max update rate is 4hz which is barely adequate, but you have to disable gps filtering.
