Renaming this subforum

Post by frog32 »

At least half of the topics started here belong to the 8 bit section. I propose to rename this subforum to "General 32bit discussions"

Back in 1996 when i picket this nick 32bit was decent. But i 've started microcontroller programming on an 8051 which was only 8bit, so my nick doesn't come from processors but from my shirt number back then.

Why only this sub forum ?
I don't think we will suffix every subforum by _8 or _32
" Board index ‹ 32bit section ‹ General discussions " should be explicit enough

jesus christ superstar ... intel 8051 ... i get ill when seeing these, including 8088 and upwards ... it is getting worser when i see those refurbished si-lab cores with ultra high clockspeeds ...

life starts with a cray one ... double precision fpu is on my wishlist.

Not every subforum but people come to the forum the first time and see "General discussions", before they realize that it's in the 32bit section they've already clicked on it. The other 32bit forums don't have as much missplaced 8bit Posts.
