Naze32 with 2 x Spektrum Sats

Post by Andyg »

I understand that the Naze32 can support one Sat with the voltage reduced to 3.3v.

I would like to use two sats, is this setup possible?

Many thanks

Why could possibly be the reason to use 2 sat receivers?

One speksat has only 1 receiver. No diversity. Plus DSM2 speksats are not reliable, no hopping. I use speksats only for indoor or very small models. In other words no diversity DSM2 speksat is a NOGO. I havent had problems with DSMX yet, but i dont trust it. The only guy using spektrum (dsmx) at our club uses 1 main and 2 sats on his jet (that is 3 receivers). I think the cypress chip they use plus the high data rate and an over complicated firmware due to 6 different modes make spektrum the worst performer of the bunch. Frsky, Futaba and co all use the TI chip and much lower over-air data rates.

I think 2 speksats doesent make sense. Use the orangerx spek clones with sbus and 1 or 2 sats if you insist on spektrum, or get a futaba or frsky or graupner/SJ if you want range and reliability.
