naze32 funfly - Green light blinking on Bootup

Typically when the board boots up - after the inital flashing lights - the Blue LED is solid.

But some times when the board boots up the blue light is SOLID and the green LED keeps blinking (even after waiting for sometime)
At this point it refuses to ARM as well.

I try all sorts of things but cant get it to work. then I end up resetting the board. still doesnt stop blinking.

try again in a bit and it boots up fine with only the solid blue light.

am I doing something stupid.

If the board is tilted more than a certain amount (30 degrees?) green will start blinking and it won't arm. If it's not tilted but you changed board orientation (with align_board_*) try recalibrating the accelerometer.
