Thanks the Google Chrome Baseflight configurator is great and used it to reflash easily. I noticed the stable baseflight hex file that I reflashed to is 157kb and the dev hex file dated 1/1/14 is 447kb. Should I be reflashing to the 1/1/2014 and wondering on file sizes?

OK my bad, on the parent baseflight/obj folder went 'save link as' and it saves the file as a 447 kb html file but with .hex extension...

If you want the raw file from github, you have to open it first. Then click 'save as' on the 'raw' button at the top right corner of the file viewer.

I have FRSKY D4R-II and i can see on FLD-02 screen that i have connected a 3S lipo. But the voltage reading is 3.7V for every cell and is not changing...
And also the voltage on A2 is slowly increacing (about 2.4V).
I have connected TX on NAZE32 to RX on D4R and ground to ground. I have Rev 5 board

They are transferred and FLD should display them correctly.
Do you have vbat hooked up to naze and enabled?
The cell values will be same (of course) since there's only single voltage input and it divides on calculated cell count, but the voltage should at least be dropping as battery decreasaes.
The battery/cell voltage is in a separate screen, that doesn't show up until you arm

I have a question regarding VBAT...I'm using 3S lipo. What are correct settings for 3S lipo? I know maxv is 4.20 in I set min 3.6. But what about main setting for VBAT? Unfortunatelya I didn't remeber the name.

You don't need to "do" anything for cell count. It's autodetected.
You just need to adjust (if needed) the vbatscale so that the voltage divider works correctly.
On most setups there's nothing to adjust, but you can check w/multimeter output of status/vbat and actual pack voltage.

I've put the Naze32 on my new quad and had it flying for a while until this weird anomaly appeared.

I have no clue what is causing it. It happens 70% of the flights I do. It is not just any stick input that sets it off, it just happens randomly. When it happens, I never have any control over the quad but yet after it has crashed I can spool up again and fly.

Check your boxes.
Make sure they're all cleared and only set for things you want to use.
The stuff you show only happens when headfree is on after some period of time.

From the video it shows that it is a problem in the board. I'm sure of it. Should I try a reflash?

Hardware doesn't fail in this way. Are you running latest firmware? If not, upgrade, and while you're at it reset everything to defaults.

rev5 has been shipping for what, half a year now? firmware is updated a bit more often than that.

It works much better and gives you access to the serial terminal interface. If you type 'version' it should tell you;
'Afro32 CLI version 2.2 Nov 2 2013 / 12.39:26'
Or similar details.

do you use turnigy plush and didn't set minimum motor output to 1300? under 1300 the motors spin to slow and react much slower resulting in overshooting and reducing the other side of your motors to less than 1300...

Thank you sooooooo much Frog32. I use plush 30's and I think I set min throttle to 1100. What would you recommend setting min throttle to now?

Multiwii config file recommends 1300 https://github.com/multiwii/multiwii-fi ... nfig.h#L59 but i had also good results using lower values. I don't know the best values for 30A plush.

I did it today...the dumbest thing...plugged in esc wrong way.
I have armed fc try a little bit of throttle and nothing...so i have checked what could be wrong and then I have realized that my esc is plugged in the wrong way...then unplugged battery....plugged in esc correct way, plugged in battery in everything works.
I hope this fc will work normally.

Does anyone know if "throttle mid" in baseflight chrome app GUI does anything at all when throttle expo is at 0.0 ,
As according to the graph of throttle curve that you look at it seems to do nothing. only seems to change the curve if some expo is added in.
I am wondering as Im trying to improve my quads hovering to not go up and then down so much.
Am i just adjusting it for no reason at ll if I like to have "0.0" throttle expo?
If unsure what i meen, some one please adjust it and see what im talking about

I'm not sure also.
I remember someone else complaining about it not working but I also don't remember seeing anything wrong with that part of the code.

The vibration issue is gone (I fixed it) , vids confirm they are gone
Also im talking about what a setting does in gui, like looking at the picture changing in GUI of throttle curve (has nothing to do with vibration of a frame or not)

be sure that your 5vot bec can supply enough current for everything .. servo included.
be sure that everything use the same ground reference , ie : notably 5v bec and esc ground and servo ground sould be connected together .
mag calibration has nothing to do with your issue .

Frsky Telemetry and Bluetooth together
Hi
I have managed to get Frsky Telemtry running on rev5 board. I have also managed to get bluetooth running. But when i arm the copter, telemetrie is turning on and bluetooth is turning off
So both together is not possible? Or do somebody managed to get running on armed copter together?

On Rev. 5 there is are frsky telemetry pins (TX and GND No. 5 on the manual http://www.abusemark.com/downloads/naze32_rev3.pdf) to connect to the receiver.
Also there are another pins for bluetooth:
"[8] Telemetry / Bluetooth / XBee serial port
RX and TX connectors from the USB Serial converter are available here. Can be used to connect Bluetooth / XBee / etc to allow
changing settings without connecting USB."
-> I connect my bluetooth on these two pins (TX and RX) and power it up.
My bluetooth-modul is from witespy that is already running with 115000 bauds. So no need to change that. I can connect to the bluetooth modul and change the settings as long as the copter is not armed

Correct, I'm pretty sure this was mentioned somewhere as frsky stuff uses the same port, this just adds inverter for use with their tx. Now that we have softserial, once it can do more than just 19200 baud, it can be used for frsky telem, but this isn't implemented yet.

If I connect FrSky receiver from Telemetry port Tx/Rx to Naze32 FrSky PINS. Would I be able to see RSSI on minimosd or no?

Have tried searching heaps about acc lpf factor and looptime with not to much success , was hoping some one might be able to tell me what raising or lowering them will do to flying characteristics.
I would love to know what im doing rather than just copying some one else's settings etc....

Well I've managed to get the latest version of the TeamKVosd (2.2) running on a minimOSD with an acro Naze32 for my new project;


It was surprisingly easy to get the basics working, including the volt meter, and displaying correctly via the MinimOSD on the video feed. I did get some help and advice in #multiwii which made a big difference (thanks guys
). Totally erasing the EEPROM before upgrading the firmware on the minimOSD was the last thing i had to do before it started working properly after a little trial and error.
I've done the 5 volt mode on the MinimOSD so it was just a question of hooking up rx and tx to tx and rx via the central pins on the flight controller and taking 5 volts power from the flight controller via some spare ESC pins with that, and I've got a low pass filter in between the main 12 volt power supply and the rest of the video gear (transmitter and camera are both 12 volts). It's got 12 amp Afro ESCs, 5 inch carbon fibre props (rctimer) and a 600mW 5.8ghz fpv video transmitter.
With the 1800mAh 3 cell it's 625 grams.
It's not flown FPV yet - waiting on the weather. It hovers at 50% throttle and flies ok line of sight so i'm looking forward to this one;
