Okay so I have the multiwii pro (red board) w/GPS from hk. I am using d8r-2 plus frsky rx with the frsky djt module in my turnigy 9xr.

Here's what's going on. I was out flying recently, doing fpv got out a good ways and my rth engaged by itself. I thought I had flown out of range and the fall safe kicked on. It took a bunch of stick fiddles and switch flips to get control back, and I had not flown or of range like I thought.

Got everything home and realized that my failsafe was not set to do rth at all. While messing with it I had it armed, radio on, was connected via Bluetooth checking settings and what not. It fired it self up into rth mode, sitting on my couch. (Had props off) so I was able to go thru my stuff with the glitch happening. Here is what I noticed.

While the problem was happening, under the aux page none of the channels showed being used or activated.

When I used the GPS hold it would activate then immediately go back to gps home. Even thou switchs don't show a change, the sensor Icons, showed active for baro, mag, GPS home.

I had some one on rcgroups ask about my end points. I have not had a chance to check them, but have been reading up and everyone says how impotent it is to keep eND points between 1000 and 2000. What happens if your above 2000? Or below 1000? Could that cause a problem like I'm having?

Please note this has only happened at random and 99%of the time flies great. I have considered rf interference, but I love in the middle of no where, and even though it did happen in my house, it also happened far out away from the house as well.

Thanks for the help

Iirc I read your RCG thread and Walrt answers (he's here too), he knows what he's talking about so take his advice...

The reason the end points are absolutely critical is they control failsafe operation, if any inputs fall below 1000uSec failsafe engauges, if they go above 2000 the FC doesn't have any reference to what that means.

I mean no disrespect, he also said to ask on the multiwii forums so that is what I did. I also gave gone back and read thru the wiki. Found some things that I didn't quiet understand before, but now have a better understanding. I plan on checking end points tonight, I can almost guarantee that they are beyond those thresholds.

Now just to be clear, even thou I do not have rth set as the failsafe, it is still possible to kick on rth because of an end point issue? .... either way, I'll let you guys know as soon as I see what's up

Man I wasnt trying to be hard on you or anything, just mentioning I didnt think we could answer any better here than Walrt did already.

It shouldn't be able to activate RTH, but with the RC input's outside of their known range who knows what it's doing. You'll probably want to clear your EPROM before testing more, that can really cause headaches!
