[noob] Why the A status light is Blinking?

Can anyone help me?

It is a error , or its ok?

My board is Multiwii and Megapirate AIO Flight Controller w/FTDI (ATmega 2560) V2.0 and when i connect it via usb the A status LED starts to blink and dont stop. its because im not with my GPS Shield installed?
