Aerofly h1 quad with x rock multiwii board
Motors arm
No idle
Quad try's to fly on throttle up but motors pulse as in:
Quad hops into the air 1 foot then falls
Motors Change rpm like a heart beat
Also seems to lack high power
I am happy to do the work just need some direction as to where to start
I caled the accel
Does the mag get caled as well?
Any direction would be appreciated
Thanks

Update#1
Using the MultiWii config GUI
Calibrated the accel. On a very level surface (used a level to check the table) this seemed to help
Also made changes to the PID
Roll 4.0 0.030 23
Pitch 4.0 0.030 23
Yaw 8.6 0.000 0
Write to board
This seemed to help
Now flys a least some what - very.powerful and some what touchy
Crashed a few times bad
Had to calibrate accel. Again now flys
More work to be done but hopeful
Still can solve the fact that the GUI display shows the. Roll as reversed - holding the bird
Tilt right - display shows left?
Need help

I wonder if your motor pulsing is down to vibrations? Mine used to surge quite badly, even though my board (nanowii) is safely mounted in foam.
Did you balance your props and motors?
You can see vibration in the acc trace in the GUI, even if you just power up the motors to idle speed.

Balanced the props, that made huge difference. Quad is still very sensitive to fast direction changes, also wobbles some as it tries to regain its balance? Roll is still backward in the GUI. Need to do the motor balance next. Do-Bro balancer is very nice, worked well
