MultiWiiConf GUI NOT WORKING?

Post by texton »

Hi All.

I am new to MultiWii, but it took me 10min of play in the gui to get it not working.

Suddenly it became very slow, and the motor-throttles and AUX pannels are not shown anymore?.

Have I done something? Pls help.

yea, theres something to do with TX library for x64 that doesnt work.

I have much the same problem, i can run the x32 app perfectly if i do it immediately after rebooting, but once i close the GUI i have to reboot before it will work proper again.

timecop, i think, has said that it works perfectly on his win 7 64 bit machines with fresh install, leading me to believe there is a common process that gets installed at some point that breaks things. i have to assume its something common, like a messenger program, or sync program that uses serial protocols. shrug.

Try the EOSBandi WinGUI, see if it works. I had issues with the native config tool not updating real-time. The Bandi one is the only one I use. Recently updated for V2.2, a fabulous tool.

That works better, but it's still VERY slow in update rate!! Also i can't write settings for my AUX channels?.. (I can write PID constants tho' )..

Just a note to say that I have the exact same problem on 64 bit Linux. (Ubuntu 12.04)

Screen shot would look exactly the same (AUX and motor throttles missing).

If I exit, and re-launch, sometimes it works fine, other times, not. Sometimes repeatedly (obsessively) pressing start and stop makes them appear.

happens on USB and bluetooth.

I'll try the 32 bit version and see if it is any better (I have 32 bit libs in my system).

After updating java, my multiwii config gui stopped working.

I have re-installed java twice, both the 64 bit and 586 versions.
I have confirmed that path to javaw.exe is valid for both.
I'm running windows 7

the frame appears but no graphics... this is true for all versions of the multiwii config gui.

here's a screen shot of 32 bit application How do I fix this?????

I've been struggling with the basics of getting the GUI working on Windows 7. I can't seem to connect my MultiWii board to any of my Windows PCs or laptops. However, on my Mac, it works great. Has anyone had this same issue?

My device manager looks like this when I plug in my MultiWii board via the USB programmer.

The driver details...

I've tried going directly to FTDI for the latest 64-bit and 32-bit drivers. Nothing that I've tried seems to work and I'm hoping that someone has the answer. I can't believe that all of my Windows 7 systems would have issues, but my single Mac has no problems at all. I've got to be doing something wrong in Windows. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
