Hi all,
After much frustration with my Crius LCD module. It basically doesn't work. I have no idea what's wrong or how to solve it. On power-up, I get "Serial LCD v1.03" displayed on the screen. Then, when I enter LCD configuration mode, just a bunch of garbage characters that appear to change according to stick controls, but are unreadable. I've read numerous theories, here and on RCGroups, that this LCD needs to have a firmware update, or that I need to set a different character table in LCD.ino, but no one seems to have a definitive answer that actually works. I've contacted the vendor, trying to get any documentation I can on the LCD module, but no response.
So I give up.
Can someone recommend an LCD module that is known to work correctly with MultiWii 2.1?
thanks,

I use an Arduino UNO with LCD keypad shield loaded with LCD_Config sketch. It emulates TextStar LCD. Google search LCD_Config.

Textstar from cats whisker is2x16 plus 4 keys. Fully supported.
Only caveat it has no backlight for nightflying.
