Hexacopter motors out of sync?

Post by Bakon »

I have recently built a hexacopter and I have been trying to program it for a while now. The code seems to work, the only problem is the motors will not start up at the same time. For example immediately when I move the throttle up a hair the back left motor spins up while all the others will not even start till around half throttle. Is there any way I can right this? Do I need to calibrate my ESCs in a certain manner? Or do I need to adjust something in the Arduino program?

Did you calibrate the all ESCs the same way ?

how do I sync the escs? None start. I've modified the code, lowered the 'start' value, set my RX so that the minimum is below 1000, changed the update speed from 400hz to 100hz, still no joy.

Take your props off BEFORE doing this, in case your ESCs don't follow the usual programming routines.
