FC I2C-GPS NAV Module help

Hi guys I have bought my first multiwii as I fancy the extra features over the kk board I am currently using.
I purchased the Multiwii MWC SE Flight Control Board V1.0,CN-06 GPS Receiver and FC I2C-GPS NAV Module from rctimer.
I have managed to update to v2.1 on the multiwii using info from this forum but I can not get the GPS to work ?
I have no previous experience with arduino's or programming and this is all very confusing

Some details
The GPS board has a solid green led
the nav board has a single flashing red led
The multiwii board appears to be working correctly in the GUI
I am running a mac
I can solder and build stuff but this stuff baffles me

It worked
What should the GPS speed be ? mine says 1

GPS will drift between 1-3 when static but when your copter is in flight it will return the speed of your copter. I'm guessing it is in kph
