HELP: CRIUS Multiwii wiring?

Post by xoxota »

Hi all, I'm a total n00b to MultiWii, trying to build my first QuadCopter (so forgive the obvious questions). I just purchased the (updated) CRIUS MultiWii control board (here), and I don't really have a clue how to wire up my ESCs and Receiver to the board. I mean I have a general idea, but, for example, how can I bus all my ESC power in an elegant way? How do I hook up my Rx's various three-pin outputs to all the one-pin inputs on the board? For that matter, how do I even power the board? At this point, I'm trying to cobble together a wiring diagram from various related (but not exactly the same) projects on the web, from CC3D boards to Seeeduino projects, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive diagram for the CRIUS board... Can anyone point me at a link or a previous forum post that talks about this?

The closest thing I have is this picture, which, while helpful, doesn't tell me how the board is powered...

The esc will power the board if they have bec built in them ! And as for as motor pins we need to know what you are building such as quadx, quad+,or a hex ! If your building a quadx then the motors are like this http://www.multiwii.com/wp-content/uplo ... DX_328.jpg ! As for the rx pins the throttle pins are all three so the board can power your reciever and the roll, pitch, and yaw pins just use the signal wire from the signal wires from rx on those channels ! If your not making a quadx you can go to multiwii.com and click the connecting elements tab at top of page and scroll down to setup diagrams and it will show you the motor numbers and also the direction they spin ! Hope this helps you ! :D
